Wrap It Up

WrapUp

Picture the scene: you’re busy at your desk and it’s lunchtime. Your stomach is rumbling but you have places to be, people to see, meetings to attend. You could get the same old sarny that you always choose from the supermarket around the corner. Or there’s that really heavy microwave meal you brought in, or do you munch on that packet of chocolate biscuits that have been lying in your draw?

Weighing up the options you feel like something different… something a bit more substantial that will fill you up so you don’t topple over later on your night out. This is London, where food is varied and you can get nearly anything. So go on, treat yourself to something different, something that’s a bit more satisfying than your average lunchtime intake. How about a Burrito?

At my agency Burritos are top of the favourite list. Mention the word and everyone perks up like a meerkat – “Are you going for a burrito?! Can you grab me one?”. The concept of the Burrito was born in Mexico and perfected in California. When success hit, the US version travelled over the pond and landed in the UK. There are many Mexican eateries in London, but Tortilla Grill is my closest hub of Mexican food delight. Situated conveniently on the high street within walking distance of my office, I often find myself taking up position in the queue. The burrito is a great alternative lunchtime meal and is actually healthy for you! A standard medium size Burrito actually only has around 12.2g of fat and if you think about it (go on, think hard about it), the main contents are beans and veg.

As designer folk will emphasise, creative interiors and attractive packaging always draw me in hook line and sinker, which makes Tortilla even more appealing as they seem to have cracked this aspect too. Showcasing an interesting look and feel with a strong brand and message, in addition to the appetising food, is a bonus.

So the next time you think about lunch, think about a Burrito. In fact, as I write this I am tucking into my Burrito lunch-al-desco, and it’s nothing less than delicious. Enjoy!
