5 Of The Best… London Florists

by Jul 7, 2017

Flower lovers rejoice… Nat has created a hit list of the best florists London has to offer. Credit cards at the ready folks!

Sometimes I am really girly and when it comes to flowers I couldn’t be more so. I am overly fond of them and I don’t hide this, despite the fact I can kill them off by lovingly watering them too much. I try to keep fresh plants and flowers in the house most of the time (in the hope the cats don’t eat them while I am out).

Petalon

petalon.co.uk
Delivering beautiful flowers to the people of London by bicycle. £25 will get you a bouquet with same day delivery and a donation from every bunch going to @beecampaign (Capital Bee is campaigning for bee-friendly practices that will benefit both people and pollinators). Petalon also does beautiful wedding services, workshops, and classes.

Frequent flowers can be purchased in subscription form which you can buy for yourself or give as a gift or alternatively you can buy 1 bunch right now or order flowers for the future. Who wouldn’t love this?

Freddie’s Flowers

freddiesflowers.com
Purely a subscription service, Freddie’s Flowers was created by a guy called Freddie (no surprise there) who’s surname is Garland and has florist parents – if there was ever anyone more appropriate for the job, it’s Freddie! Having worked at Abel & Cole, Freddie took the same model and applied this to a flower subscription service. For £20 a week the company will choose a selection of fresh flowers and deliver them straight to your door in a box that will even fit through your letterbox. There’s even a little slip inside to give tips on how to arrange the bouquet once unwrapped. Lovely stuff.

Flowerbx

flowerbx.com
Create a bouquet of all your favourite blooms by choosing your own combination of fresh cut flowers from Flowerbx. Founded by former Tom Ford PR director, flowers are shipped direct from markets in Holland.

The Flower Appreciation Society

The Flower Appreciation Society was formed by two friends who met working behind a bar. With backgrounds in illustration and textiles the company gives a strong visual identity for events, weddings and parties from their Hackney studio. The girls also run workshops and have even published a book The Flower Appreciation Society: An A to Z of All Things Floral.

Appleyard Flowers

appleyardflowers.com
With chic bunches, stylish plants and letterbox deliveries, this company offers a variety of options to choose from. Using a mix of seasonal flowers and exclusive new and rare species customers can also complement their gift with chocolates, prosecco or personalised jewellery direct from the site. Like Petalon, Appleyard also offers a subscription service, find out more here.

Flowers – the best way to brighten your day.
